Dichotic Digits – Standard Version

The Dichotic Digits-Standard version test is an auditory processing disorder test using verbal stimuli. It is considered a dichotic test for binaural integration sensitive to brainstem, cortical, and corpus callosal lesions.

This established test assesses the ability to process different materials arriving at the ears simultaneously. Fifty sets of digits, one through nine (except seven, having two syllables) are presented either in single pairs or double pairs. The digits begin and end simultaneously.

Dichotic Digits-Standard version includes a) audio recording, and b) instructions and score forms as printable pdf files. The one-page instructions consist of administration, scoring, and interpretation information. Normative data* for double digits is included; however, it is only available for ages 11 and up. Available from Auditec, IncCall 1-800-669-9065 (from US) or 314-416-1050 (outside the US) to order.
