NUCHIPS

The Northwestern University-Children’s Perception of Speech (NU-CHIPS) is a closed-set picture-pointing word recognition test for children whose language age is as low as three. The test is made up of 50 words familiar to three-year-olds in four randomizations called forms.

There are two recordings: one male and one female talker available for purchase. The NU-CHIPS Picture Books are available in print or on CD ROM. Yes, picture Books are back in print! Instructions and printable score forms are included on CD Rom.
